What is a Concours d’Elegance?
Concours d’Elegance.
The term is of French origin, meaning “competitions of elegance,” and refers specifically to an assemblage of prestigious, worldwide events showcasing the finest vintage and historic vehicles ever made, and the highest levels of automotive restoration ever achieved.
These events began in 17th century France, when owners of fine, horse-drawn carriages gathered with friends and rivals to exhibit the best vehicles of the age. And while the types of vehicles on parade have changed, the tradition has endured.
Today, cars from The JBS Collection—a treasure trove of the best in automotive design that includes examples going back more than a century—can be found at modern day Concours d’Elegance events around the globe.
The JBS Collection is honored to be a part of the distinguished field at these events and grateful for the opportunity to share the history and majesty of our cars with a wider audience.
The following is a list of automobiles from The JBS Collection that have earned awards and distinctions at Concours d’Elegance events at home and abroad.
